Human Adenosine deaminase-like protein (ADAL) ELISA Kit

This ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human adenosine deaminase-like protein (ADAL) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant human ADAL, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.17ng/mL. Reported precision values are 5.3% intra-assay CV and 8.9% inter-assay CV. In linearity testing across four dilutions, serum samples spanned 80% to 117%, EDTA plasma 90% to 115%, and heparin plasma 98% to 120%. Overall recovery averaged 81% for serum (range 80-87%) and 83% for plasma (range 80-89%).

ADAL is a putative nucleoside deaminase that may catalyse the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine or a similar substrate, contributing to purine metabolism. The protein belongs to the adenosine and AMP deaminases family, with three isoforms produced by alternative splicing. ADAL has been implicated in modulating immune responses and inflammation, and its dysregulation has been linked to various autoimmune disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research into immune modulation and disease pathogenesis.
