The Human ADAR ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of double-stranded RNA-specific adenosine deaminase in human research specimens. ADAR enzymes catalyze the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine to inosine in double-stranded RNA substrates, a fundamental form of A-to-I RNA editing that influences transcript recoding, splice-site selection, and innate immune recognition of viral and endogenous nucleic acids. The kit is supplied in a 96 Assays packaging configuration intended for research use only.

This kit supports investigation into ADAR's role in conditions including autoimmune disease, cancer biology, neurological disorders, and antiviral responses, where altered editing activity is a recurring biomarker of interest. Each kit package contains the assay plate, capture and detection antibodies, recombinant standard, and buffers required to perform the immunoreaction and quantify ADAR protein abundance in extracted samples.

Researchers working on hepatocellular carcinoma, melanoma, glioblastoma, or Aicardi-Goutières syndrome often use ADAR1 or ADAR2 protein quantification to correlate enzyme levels with disease stage or treatment response. The workflow uses standard laboratory plate-reader equipment and is compatible with studies of type I interferon signaling and dsRNA-sensing pathways relevant to viral infection models.
