Human ADAMTS4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich (double antibody) ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of ADAMTS4 (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase with Thrombospondin motifs 4) in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a reported sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a measurable range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL.

Colorimetric detection uses a biotinylated detection antibody followed by HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of the acidic Stop Solution. The kit includes a Bradford Reagent for total protein normalisation of lysate and homogenate samples. Performance figures supplied by Assay Genie include recovery ranges (n=5) of 88-103% (average 97%) for serum, 90-104% (average 99%) for EDTA plasma, and 89-103% (average 97%) for heparin plasma, with linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions of 86-103%, 86-103%, and 91-105% for serum; 83-101%, 82-99%, and 82-93% for EDTA plasma; and 84-91%, 82-96%, and 83-98% for heparin plasma. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. ADAMTS4 is an enzyme involved in extracellular matrix degradation and tissue remodeling and is relevant to research into arthritis, cartilage degradation, and cardiovascular disease.
