Human ADAM8 ELISA Kit

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL, with kit components stable at 2-8°C for 12 months.

ADAM8 is a cell surface metalloproteinase involved in cell adhesion, migration, and proteolysis, and has been implicated in inflammation, asthma, and cancer, making it a useful biomarker for research into these conditions. Validated linearity in serum (85-105%, 92-100%, 90-100% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions), EDTA plasma (85-101%, 82-96%, 87-97%) and heparin plasma (85-101%, 87-100%, 80-98%) supports reliable performance across sample types. Mean recovery is 93% in serum, 92% in EDTA plasma and 94% in heparin plasma.

The protocol involves a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
