Human Acylamino-acid-releasing enzyme (APEH) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Acylamino-acid-releasing enzyme (APEH), also known as acyl-peptide hydrolase, acylaminoacyl-peptidase, oxidized protein hydrolase, APH, OPH, AARE, D3F15S2, D3S48E and DNF15S2. The kit accepts human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant human APEH.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Recovery is 95% for serum (range 89-101%) and 97% for plasma (range 91-103%). Linearity across dilutions 1:2 to 1:16 ranges from 87-97% to 116-125% for serum, 91-101% to 98-107% for EDTA plasma, and 80-88% to 108-117% for heparin plasma. APEH is a homotetrameric cytoplasmic protease (EC 3.4.19.1) of the peptidase S9C family that catalyses hydrolysis of the N-terminal peptide bond of an N-acetylated peptide, preferentially cleaving Ac-Ala, Ac-Met and Ac-Ser; its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
