Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human Acyl-CoA synthetase family member 4 (AASDH), this colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. The kit is reactive with human samples and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.156–10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.6%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 90% (range 84–96%) and plasma recovery averaging 92% (range 86–98%).

AASDH (synonyms: ACSF4, NRPS998, HSPC318, U26; UniProt Q4L235) is an ATP-dependent enzyme of the acyl-CoA synthetase family that covalently binds beta-alanine to its phosphopantetheine group via a thioester bond and is involved in fatty acid metabolism. Dysregulation has been linked to metabolic disorders, lipid-related diseases and cancer. Four isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing; the protein has a reported molecular weight of 96,217 Da and is encoded at chromosomal location 4q12.
