Human Activin B ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay is designed for the quantitative measurement of activin B in human biological samples. Activin B is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily and participates in cell differentiation, growth, and apoptosis, and is implicated in several diseases and disorders, including cancer, immune system dysfunction, and reproductive disorders. The kit is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, using a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) spans 86-98%, 83-99% and 80-97% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with EDTA plasma at 86-104%, 83-98% and 80-92%, and heparin plasma at 85-102%, 83-94% and 82-96%. Recovery in serum averages 98% (range 86-105%), EDTA plasma 91% (range 86-103%), and heparin plasma 94% (range 85-100%). Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
