Human Activin A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Activin A, a signalling protein linked to cell growth, differentiation and development, and studied in contexts including cancer, inflammatory conditions and reproductive disorders. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The double-antibody sandwich format uses a microplate pre-coated with a target-specific capture antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated streptavidin are added sequentially, and a TMB substrate generates a colour change read at 450 nm. A Bradford Reagent is supplied to enable total protein normalisation. Sensitivity is 9.4 pg/mL and the standard curve spans 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

Reported linearity ranges from 85% to 104% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with average recovery between 93% and 100%. Components are stored at 2–8°C, and the kit is intended for research use only.
