Human Actin, alpha skeletal muscle (ACTA1) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of alpha skeletal muscle actin (ACTA1) in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human specimens. It is intended for serum and plasma, and according to the manufacturer also accepts tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Actin, alpha skeletal muscle, with a reported detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.27 ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%.

Spike-and-recovery performance is documented as 80-89% for serum (average 83%) and 80-91% for plasma (average 85%). Linearity across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 is reported for serum (87-116%), EDTA plasma (86-117%) and heparin plasma (82-120%). ACTA1 is described as a highly conserved actin family member involved in cell motility and as a major constituent of the contractile apparatus in skeletal muscle, with the target referenced under UniProt P68133.
