Human Actin Alpha 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTa2) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie kit supports quantitative studies of alpha-smooth muscle actin (ACTA2), a 42 kDa cytoskeletal protein expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells, myofibroblasts, and stromal compartments of solid tumors. It is widely used in fibrosis research, atherosclerosis models, vascular injury studies, and investigations of epithelial-mesenchymal transition. The assay employs a human-specific capture antibody pair, with a 100 uL sample volume per well and colorimetric readout generated by TMB substrate addition, stopped with sulfuric acid before absorbance measurement. Reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be stored frozen in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw damage, while the unopened kit is shipped and stored refrigerated. All reagents for one full microplate run are supplied with pre-coated wells, wash buffer, diluents, and a sealed plate sealer for laboratory ELISA workflows.
