Human ACSM2A ELISA Kit (HUFI08008)

The Assay Genie ELISA kit quantifies ACSM2A (acyl-CoA synthetase medium-chain family member 2A), a mitochondrial enzyme that converts medium-chain fatty acids into their acyl-CoA thioesters. ACSM2A is expressed most strongly in liver and kidney, where it contributes to hepatic lipid handling and xenobiotic metabolism; researchers investigating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, drug-induced metabolic injury, and renal tubular disorders often use circulating ACSM2A levels as a tissue-derived readout. The capture antibody is human-specific and shows no significant cross-reactivity with the paralog ACSM2B, supporting clean discrimination in samples from individuals carrying both isoforms. Each kit contains a 96-well strip microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, and a calibrated recombinant ACSM2A standard for interpolation. Reconstituted standards and conjugate should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 °C; avoid more than three freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. For research use only.
