Human Acrosin ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA using a double antibody format for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human Acrosin (ACR) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples, and reported performance values include a sensitivity of 3.75 mIU/mL with a measuring range of 6.25-400 mIU/mL.

Spike-and-recovery testing showed average recovery of 93% in serum (range 86-98%, n=5), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 92-102%, n=5), and 97% in UFH plasma (range 85-104%, n=5). Linearity across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 was demonstrated at 86-105%, 89-104%, and 88-102% in serum; 83-95%, 82-97%, and 83-100% in EDTA plasma; and 89-98%, 85-98%, and 83-94% in UFH plasma. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%.

Acrosin is described as the major serine protease of mammalian spermatozoa, synthesized as the zymogen proacrosin and stored in the acrosome, where it participates in penetration of the zona pellucida during fertilization. The kit is supplied with a dismountable 8×12 strip microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and standard dilution buffer, biotin-labelled antibody concentrate, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, and plate sealers, and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
