Human Acrosin (ACR) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of human Acrosin (ACR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using colorimetric detection. The kit is reactive with human samples and recognises both natural and recombinant human Acrosin.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.8% and inter-assay CV is 9.3%. Linearity in serum spans 91-118%, EDTA plasma 96-116% and heparin plasma 98-116% across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 100% (94-106%) in serum and 102% (96-108%) in plasma. Acrosin is the major protease of mammalian spermatozoa, a serine protease with trypsin-like cleavage specificity that is synthesised as the zymogen proacrosin and stored in the acrosome, where it functions in the lysis of the zona pellucida during fertilisation.
