Researchers studying peroxisomal lipid metabolism, fatty acid β-oxidation, or related metabolic pathways can use this Assay Genie immunoassay to quantify human Acyl-CoA Oxidase-Like (ACOXL) protein in human specimens. ACOXL is a peroxisomally localized enzyme with homology to classical acyl-CoA oxidases, the rate-limiting enzymes of very-long-chain fatty acid catabolism. ACOXL biology has been investigated in the context of peroxisomal biogenesis disorders, retinal degenerative research, and neurodevelopmental disease studies.

The kit ships as a microplate configured for 96 individual reactions, with an absorbance-based chromogenic readout compatible with standard laboratory plate readers. Each package includes pre-coated strip wells, a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, a calibrated standard set, wash concentrate, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution sufficient for the full plate.
