Human ACHE/Acetylcholinesterase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human acetylcholinesterase (AChE). The double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout is intended for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Acetylcholinesterase hydrolyses the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and dysregulation of its activity has been associated with neurological disorders including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, making it a relevant biomarker for neuroscience research.

Linearity in serum (n=5) was 88–103% at 1:2, 85–97% at 1:4 and 91–99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) 86–101%, 83–101% and 82–98%; heparin plasma (n=5) 82–92%, 85–99% and 80–98% at the same dilutions. Recovery ranges were 88–105% (average 97%) for serum, 85–102% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 90–99% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
