Human Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACACA) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACACA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 32.1-2000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 15.7pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 6.5%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averages 97% for serum (range 91-103%) and 99% for plasma (range 93-105%). Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human ACACA, and the kit is intended for research use only.

ACACA is a key enzyme in fatty acid metabolism and lipid synthesis, catalysing the ATP-dependent carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA. Dysregulation of ACACA has been linked to metabolic disorders, obesity and related conditions, supporting its relevance as a biomarker for studying these processes.
