Human ACAA1 ELISA Kit (HUFI08012)

The ACAA1 protein, also known as peroxisomal 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase, catalyzes the final thiolytic step of peroxisomal fatty acid β-oxidation and is a target of interest in studies of lipid metabolism, hepatic steatosis, and peroxisomal biogenesis disorders. This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie targets the human isoform through capture and detection antibody pairs raised against non-overlapping ACAA1 epitopes, and is reported to show no significant cross-reactivity with the homologous mitochondrial ACAA2 thiolase. The microplate is supplied as 8 x 12 removable well strips pre-coated with anti-ACAA1 antibody, alongside separate vials of lyophilized recombinant standard, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, TMB substrate, and stop solution. Reconstituted reagents are typically stored refrigerated at 2-8°C in the dark, and the plate layout permits partial-plate use without compromising remaining wells. The kit supports quantification of endogenous ACAA1 in serum and plasma, and has been adopted in published in vitro cell lysate studies and in vivo rodent model investigations probing fatty acid oxidation capacity.
