Human ABHD7 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this competitive ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human ABHD7 (also known as EPHX4, Epoxide hydrolase 4, EPHXRP, Abhydrolase domain-containing protein 7, or Epoxide hydrolase-related protein; Uniprot Q8IUS5). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a competitive ELISA format coated with antigen, and is reactive with human samples. ABHD7 is described as a critical enzyme that plays a key role in lipid metabolism and has been implicated in various physiological processes and diseases, with research applications including studies of lipid homeostasis, neurological disorders, and metabolic diseases.

Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is at 2-8°C (sealed); do not cryopreserve. Reported recovery averages are 99% for serum (n=10, range 93-104%), 97% for EDTA plasma (n=10, range 92-103%), and 94% for heparin plasma (n=10, range 87-101%). Linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 spans 86-105% for serum (n=10), 82-101% for EDTA plasma (n=10), and 86-105% for heparin plasma (n=10).

The procedure involves equilibrating TMB substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature, adding 50 µL of standard or sample plus 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody per well with incubation at 37°C for 45 minutes, washing the plate five times, developing with TMB substrate in the dark at 37°C for 10-20 minutes, adding stop solution (colour changes from blue to yellow), and reading absorbance at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance is provided for each specimen type.
