Human ABCG1/ATP Binding Cassette Transporter G1 ELISA Kit

ABCG1 plays a critical role in lipid transport and cholesterol homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been linked to atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes, making it a valuable biomarker for studies of cardiovascular health and lipid metabolism.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric readout. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is for use with human samples and should be stored at 2-8°C, where it remains stable for 12 months.

Spiking recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 88-104% with an average of 95%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 90-102% with an average of 91%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 87-105% with an average of 93%. The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin incubation, TMB colour development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
