Human A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 20 (ADAMTS20) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human ADAMTS20, a zinc-dependent metalloproteinase secreted into the extracellular matrix where it participates in tissue-remodeling processes occurring under both normal and pathological conditions. The protein may also contribute to the transport of secretory cargos from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus via the GON domain. Dysregulation of ADAMTS20 has been linked to osteoarthritis, cancer and cardiovascular disorders, making it a target of interest for biomarker and therapeutic research.

The colorimetric assay has a reported detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 34 pg/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant human ADAMTS20. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Precision is characterised by an intra-assay CV of 3.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%.

Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with reported ranges of 103-116%, 106-116%, 106-117% and 96-108% for serum; 100-109%, 96-109%, 87-96% and 104-116% for EDTA plasma; and 106-116%, 108-117%, 104-114% and 85-95% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages 94% (range 88-100%) in serum and 96% (range 90-102%) in plasma. The kit is for research use only and supports work in the cell biology research area.
