Human 60 kDa heat shock protein, mitochondrial (HSPD1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human 60 kDa heat shock protein, mitochondrial (HSPD1). The target protein, also known by synonyms including HSP60, CPN60, HSP-60, 60 kDa chaperonin, Chaperonin 60, HuCHA60, Mitochondrial matrix protein P1 and P60 lymphocyte protein, is a chaperonin located in the mitochondrial matrix that assists in the folding and assembly of imported mitochondrial proteins together with Hsp10. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples.

Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human HSPD1. The stated detection range is 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.045 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. Recovery in serum averages 96% (range 90–102%) and in plasma averages 98% (range 92–104%).

HSPD1 dysregulation has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases and cancer, and monitoring its levels can provide insights into disease pathogenesis. The UniProt accession for the target is P10809. This product is for research use only.
