Human 6-phosphofructokinase, muscle type (PFKM) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the detection of human 6-phosphofructokinase, muscle type (PFKM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit reacts with human samples and recognises both natural and recombinant human PFKM.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.1%. Linearity testing in serum (N=5) yielded 83-92% at a 1:2 dilution, with EDTA plasma and heparin plasma demonstrating comparable ranges across serial dilutions up to 1:16. Recovery averages 93% for serum (range 87-99%) and 95% for plasma (range 89-101%).

PFKM is a key enzyme in glycolysis that contributes to energy production and metabolism, and dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to metabolic disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions. The kit is intended for research use only within the metabolism research area.
