Description
Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human 4F2 cell-surface antigen heavy chain (SLC3A2). The assay is reactive with human samples and is configured for colorimetric detection, showing specificity toward both natural and recombinant human 4F2 cell-surface antigen heavy chain. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.
Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Precision data list an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions (N=5), with reported recovery averaging 90% (range 84–96%) for serum and 92% (range 86–98%) for plasma.
SLC3A2, also known as CD98, 4F2hc, MDU1, lymphocyte activation antigen 4F2 large subunit, or solute carrier family 3 member 2, is required for the function of light chain amino-acid transporters and is involved in sodium-independent high-affinity transport of large neutral amino acids such as phenylalanine, tyrosine, leucine, arginine and tryptophan. The protein corresponds to UniProt entry P08195. The kit is listed under the Epigenetics research area, is intended for research use only, and should be stored at –20°C, with shipping at +4°C.
