Human 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (HIBADH) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (HIBADH). The assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human HIBADH.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.08ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 5.9%. Recovery is 90% (range 84-96%) for serum and 92% (range 86-98%) for plasma. Plates are read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader.

HIBADH is a mitochondrial oxidoreductase (EC 1.1.1.31) that resides in the mitochondrial matrix and plays a critical role in the catabolism of L-valine by catalysing the oxidation of 3-hydroxyisobutyrate to methylmalonate semialdehyde. Dysregulation of HIBADH activity has been linked to various metabolic disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for cell biology and metabolism research. For research use only.
