Quantitative measurement of soluble 2B4 (CD244) receptor in human samples is supported by the Assay Genie Human 2B4/CD244 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit, a 96-assay research use only immunoassay compatible with cell culture supernatant, plasma, and serum specimens. CD244 is a SLAM-family receptor predominantly expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes, gamma-delta T cells, and certain myeloid populations, where it engages CD48 on neighboring cells to modulate NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity, cytokine secretion, and target cell killing.

The kit is configured for in vitro investigation of NK cell exhaustion, autoimmune disease, viral infection, transplant immunology, and tumor immune surveillance, where altered CD244 expression has been documented in patient cohorts.
