Human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 3 (OAS3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the detection of human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 3 (OAS3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and offers a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.34ng/mL.

OAS3 is an interferon-induced, dsRNA-activated antiviral enzyme that plays a critical role in cellular innate antiviral response. It synthesizes preferentially dimers of 2'-5'-oligoadenylates (2-5A) from ATP, which then bind to the inactive monomeric form of ribonuclease L (RNase L) leading to its dimerization and subsequent activation, resulting in degradation of cellular as well as viral RNA. The kit shows an intra-CV of 4.5% and inter-CV of 8.1%, with recovery of 88% (82-94%) for serum and 90% (84-96%) for plasma.

Specific to natural and recombinant human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 3, this research-use-only kit supports studies in immunology, with the target localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus (UniProt Q9Y6K5).
