Human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 2 (OAS2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 2 (OAS2) in human samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human OAS2.

Reported performance characteristics are a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Recovery is reported at an average of 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. OAS2 is an interferon-induced, dsRNA-activated antiviral enzyme that plays a critical role in the cellular innate antiviral response, synthesising higher oligomers of 2'-5'-oligoadenylates (2-5A) from ATP that bind to and activate RNase L, leading to degradation of viral and cellular RNA.
