Human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 1 (OAS1) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 1 (OAS1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human OAS1 and uses a colorimetric ELISA readout.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.74 ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 7.2% and an inter-assay CV of 10.7%. Linearity, assessed across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, ranges from 91-114% in serum, 100-117% in EDTA plasma and 96-115% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages 103% for serum (range 97-109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99-111%).

OAS1 is an interferon-induced, dsRNA-activated antiviral enzyme that plays a critical role in the cellular innate antiviral response. It synthesises higher oligomers of 2'-5'-oligoadenylates from ATP, activating RNase L to degrade viral RNA and terminate viral replication. For research use only.
