The 15-PGDH enzyme (encoded by the HPGD gene) is a prostaglandin-degrading oxidoreductase that catabolizes PGE2 and related eicosanoids, making its accurate quantification important in inflammation, colorectal cancer biology, and prostaglandin metabolism research. This in vitro quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured to measure endogenous human 15-PGDH in cell culture supernatant samples using a microwell plate format. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies of HPGD expression in tumor suppressor pathways and NSAID pharmacology. Components are stored refrigerated between uses, and the assay delivers an absorbance-based readout on a standard plate reader. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for one full plate run, with a protocol that fits into routine laboratory ELISA workflows.
