Human 15-LO/ALOX15 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of 15-lipoxygenase (15-LO/ALOX15) in human samples. The kit employs a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, offering high sensitivity and specificity for research applications investigating inflammation, lipid signalling, and oxidative stress.

The assay has a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a standard range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma (including EDTA and heparin), cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Dilutional linearity has been demonstrated for serum (85–102% at 1:2), EDTA plasma (88–105% at 1:2), and heparin plasma (87–105% at 1:2), with spike-recovery averaging 95% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma, and 100% for heparin plasma. All components should be stored at 2–8°C, with a shelf life of 12 months under these conditions.

15-lipoxygenase is an enzyme involved in polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions, making it a useful biomarker for studying disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
