Human 14-3-3 protein theta (YWHAQ) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of human 14-3-3 protein theta (YWHAQ) levels in human samples, and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.43ng/ml. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 101-111%, 87-99%, 109-121% and 91-103% for serum (N=5); 107-115%, 115-125%, 92-102% and 106-115% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 95-105%, 108-116%, 95-104% and 110-119% for heparin plasma (N=5). Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma.

14-3-3 protein theta is described as an adaptor protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of general and specialized signaling pathways. It binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif, and binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. The protein negatively regulates the kinase activity of PDPK1, is localised in the cytoplasm, and is associated with cancer research applications.
