HSL (Phospho-Ser855/554)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate measurement of phosphorylated hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) at Ser855/554 in cultured cells, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The high-throughput, lysate-free colorimetric assay, read at 450 nm, allows qualitative determination of phosphorylated HSL levels and supports screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators that influence HSL phosphorylation.

Reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, the kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which HSL (Phospho-Ser855/554) is captured by specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

Phosphorylated HSL is a key regulator of lipid metabolism, with dysregulation implicated in obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Sample type: adherent cells.
