HOXD8 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The HOXD8 Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie quantifies DNA-binding activity of the homeobox D8 transcription factor in nuclear and cell lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat specimens. The microplate is pre-coated with double-stranded oligonucleotides containing a consensus HOXD8 binding motif, capturing the active protein from nuclear extracts; bound HOXD8 is detected with a transcription factor-specific antibody and developed using an HRP chromogenic substrate. A sample volume of 10 uL per well is recommended, with absorbance read after the chromogenic incubation step to determine relative DNA-binding activity across experimental conditions.
