The CXCL10 (IP-10) target is a chemokine secreted in response to interferon-gamma and other inflammatory cues, recruiting activated lymphocytes, monocytes and NK cells to sites of infection. In equine studies, CXCL10 concentrations have been investigated as biomarkers of viral respiratory disease (including EHV-1 and equine influenza), inflammatory airway disease, laminitis, and exercise-induced inflammation, making this analyte useful for immunology, infectious disease and veterinary translational research.

This Assay Genie DIY (do-it-yourself) kit supplies the capture antibody, detection antibody, standard and streptavidin-HRP reagents so the user coats their own microplate, giving flexibility over plate density and coating buffer while reducing per-plate cost in workflows that run many plates. Reported specifications include a standard detection range of 31.25 to 2000 pg/mL, sensitivity around 15.6 pg/mL, and a recommended 100 uL sample volume per well with a total assay incubation of roughly 3 hours.

Reagents should be refrigerated upon arrival; the reconstituted standard is kept on ice and protected from light, and the kit is configured for in vitro research use only.
