hnRNP H Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of hnRNP H protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which hnRNP H-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm upon substrate addition.

Because the workflow is lysate-free and is performed directly on cells in the included microplate, the kit supports high-throughput applications, including measuring relative hnRNP H levels in cultured cells and screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals) or activators. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, while a Crystal Violet whole-cell stain can be used to determine cell density so absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences.

hnRNP H (gene symbol HNRNPH2; UniProt P55795; NCBI Gene ID 3188) is an RNA-binding protein involved in regulating gene expression, splicing and mRNA metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. The kit shows reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples and is intended for adherent cells, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Storage is at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 months.
