hnRNP C1/C2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection and relative quantification of hnRNP C1/C2 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue samples. Reactivity is demonstrated for Human, Mouse, and Rat, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The assay uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm on a 96-Well Microplate format, and the kit is stored at 4°C with a 6-month stability.

The kit employs an indirect ELISA format in which hnRNP C1/C2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. Because the Cell-Based ELISA is qualitative, two normalisation tools are included: an anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody that serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method used to adjust absorbance values to cell density and plating differences. The standard protocol uses adherent cells, with a Poly-L-Lysine pre-coating step provided for suspension or loosely attached cells.

hnRNP C1/C2 (UniProt P07910, Gene ID 3183, Gene Symbol HNRNPC) are heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins that bind pre-mRNA in the nucleus and influence pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism and transport, and the assembly of 40S hnRNP particles.
