Histone H3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed for the detection and quantification of Histone H3 protein expression in cultured cells, this Assay Genie colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is a high-throughput, lysate-free assay. It uses a colorimetric detection method measured at 450 nm and is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

Qualitative determination of Histone H3 is achieved through an indirect ELISA format. Histone H3 is captured by specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance values. Following colorimetric measurement, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts.

The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format, is intended for adherent cell samples, and can be used to measure relative Histone H3 levels in cultured cells or to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Histone H3 expression. Storage is at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months.
