Histone H1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this cell-based immunoassay is designed to detect Histone H1 protein expression in cultured cells and to measure histone H1 protein levels in cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma. It uses an indirect ELISA format in which Histone H1 is captured by Histone H1-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction that is read at 450 nm. The assay is lysate-free and high-throughput, suitable for measuring relative amounts of Histone H1 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Histone H1 expression.

Reactive with human and mouse samples, the kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control in normalising target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric HRP readout, Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density, allowing results to be normalised to cell amounts. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
