HER3 (Phospho-Tyr1197)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based phospho-ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection of HER3 phosphorylated at Tyr1197 in cultured cells. Using an indirect detection format, the kit captures HER3 (Phospho-Tyr1197) with a phospho-specific primary antibody, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies enabling a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. The assay is lysate-free and intended for use with adherent cell cultures.

The kit can be used to measure relative levels of phosphorylated HER3 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators on HER3 phosphorylation. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is supplied so cell density can be determined and absorbance values adjusted to cell amounts.

Reactivity has been demonstrated against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The target corresponds to the ERBB3 gene (Gene ID: 2065; UniProt ID: P21860). HER3 is a receptor tyrosine kinase of the EGFR family, and phosphorylation at Tyr1197 is associated with downstream signalling and has been implicated in various cancer types, making it a target of interest in cancer research.
