HER2 (Phospho-Tyr1248)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and sensitive detection of HER2 phosphorylation at tyrosine 1248 in cell samples. With applications in cancer research and drug development, the kit supports studies of HER2 signaling pathways, which are associated with cancer progression and relevant to drug discovery and personalized medicine approaches.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format, in which target-specific primary antibodies capture HER2 (Phospho-Tyr1248) and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Described as lysate-free, high throughput, and sensitive, the assay enables qualitative determination of relative HER2 (Phospho-Tyr1248) levels in adherent cell cultures, and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on HER2 phosphorylation. Reported reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Two normalization methods are provided: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted to cell amounts.
