HDAC8 (Phospho-Ser39)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based immunoassay from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection of phosphorylated HDAC8 at Serine 39 in cultured cells. It uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm and an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies are recognised by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies whose enzyme activity catalyses a colour change upon substrate addition.

Reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, the kit is positioned as a lysate-free, sensitive, and high-throughput tool for measuring relative levels of phosphorylated HDAC8 in cultured cells. It can also be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemical compounds, or activators on HDAC8 phosphorylation. The assay falls within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The quoted dynamic range is greater than 5000 cells.
