HDAC6 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of HDAC6 protein expression in cultured cells. The colorimetric assay is read at 450 nm and is suitable for use with adherent cell samples. It is reactive with human and mouse samples and operates in a 96-well microplate format.

The kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA workflow. HDAC6 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric measurement of HRP activity, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts.

The kit can be used to measure relative amounts of HDAC6 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on HDAC6.
