HDAC3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit offers a convenient, lysate-free approach for measuring HDAC3 protein expression directly in cultured adherent cells. The qualitative assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which HDAC3 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit can be used to determine relative HDAC3 levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on HDAC3. Reactivity has been established for Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells. Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm, on a 96-well microplate format. Storage stability is 4 °C for 6 months.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values. Following the HRP colorimetric read, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, enabling absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts and compensating for plating differences.
