Quantitative chemokine analysis in hamster research models is supported by this CXCL10/IP-10 detection kit from Assay Genie, providing a microplate-based colorimetric immunoassay workflow for in vitro laboratory use.

CXCL10, also called interferon gamma-induced 10 kDa protein (IP-10), is a CXC chemokine secreted in response to interferon gamma that drives immune cell recruitment to inflamed or infected tissues. The kit enables laboratories using hamster models of viral pathogenesis, transplant rejection, or autoimmune inflammation to quantify this chemokine in experimental specimens, reducing dependence on cross-reactive rodent reagents that can yield misleading data in non-validated species.

Each kit is supplied with pre-coated plate strips, a recombinant protein standard, biotinylated detection antibody, enzyme conjugate, wash and dilution buffers, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution, supporting a full microplate run with a multi-point standard curve. Absorbance readings are taken on a standard plate reader and sample concentrations are interpolated against the included calibration curve.

Researchers investigating Th1-type immune polarization, granuloma formation, or chemokine gradients in hamster tissues can integrate this assay into broader cytokine profiling studies. The single-use reagent format suits translational pipelines where species-validated tools are required for confident data interpretation across infectious disease and immunology programs.
