HA/Hyaluronic Acid ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Competitive ELISA is built on a double-antigen sandwich format for the quantitative measurement of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Reactivity is listed as Universal, and the kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric: after binding and washing, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate are added, the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. The kit is stored at 2–8°C (sealed) and should not be cryopreserved.

Reported linearity (n=10) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 87–99%, 87–98% and 82–100% for serum; 91–102%, 84–96% and 92–103% for EDTA plasma; and 84–101%, 89–97% and 85–99% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges with averages are 86–99% (94%) for serum, 89–104% (96%) for EDTA plasma, and 89–102% (99%) for heparin plasma. The protocol calls for adding 50 µL of standard or sample with 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody per well, incubating at 37°C for 45 minutes, washing, developing with TMB in the dark at 37°C for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
