Guinea pig PCSK9/Proprotein Convertase 9 ELISA Kit

A specialized assay from Assay Genie for the precise quantification of PCSK9 (Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin, Kexin Type 9; also known as Proprotein Convertase 9, FH3, HCHOLA3, NARC-1, PC9, LDLCQ1) levels in guinea pig serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. PCSK9 is a key enzyme involved in regulating cholesterol levels by promoting the degradation of the LDL receptor, and its dysregulation is associated with cardiovascular diseases and hypercholesterolemia, making it a valuable target for drug development and therapy.

The kit uses a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody detection method. It offers a sensitivity of 0.094ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10ng/ml. Sample types include serum, plasma (EDTA and UFH/heparin), and cell culture supernatants. Recovery rates (average) were reported as 93% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma, and 96% in UFH plasma. Linearity across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) ranged from 81-104% across serum, EDTA plasma, and UFH plasma. Intra-Assay precision is CV <8% and Inter-Assay precision is CV <10%.
