Guinea pig IgG/Immunoglobulin G ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of Immunoglobulin G (IgG) in guinea pig samples. The colorimetric assay measures IgG in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validation data show strong linearity across dilutions. For serum (n=5), recoveries of 92–103%, 89–105% and 85–101% were obtained at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, respectively. EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 89–100%, 85–95% and 84–101% across the same dilutions, while heparin plasma (n=5) gave 83–98%, 83–97% and 81–100%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 97% in serum (range 87–105%), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 93–104%) and 91% in heparin plasma (range 87–100%).

The protocol follows a standard sandwich workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate, load standards/samples/controls and incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes, incubate with biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, then stop and read absorbance at 450 nm. The kit is intended for immunology and infectious disease research, including studies of antibody responses, vaccine development and autoimmune disorders in guinea pig models.
