Guinea pig IgG ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody configuration for the quantitative measurement of IgG1 in guinea pig samples. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a reported sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Detection is based on TMB substrate development, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions, with serum (n=5) ranging 86–103%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranging 83–99%, and heparin plasma (n=5) ranging 81–100% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery testing showed average values of 97% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for research applications including immunology, infectious disease, and vaccine development studies of guinea pig immune responses.

The workflow includes plate and reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and color development with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stopping and reading. Unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with selected items stored at –20°C for longer-term stability.
