Guinea pig IGF-II/Insulin-like growth factor II ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is configured for the quantitative detection of insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) in guinea pig-derived samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric readout, relying on TMB substrate development and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. It is reactive with guinea pig samples and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported sensitivity is 37.5 pg/mL, with a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Dilutional linearity (n=5) for serum is 88–105% at 1:2, 85–105% at 1:4 and 86–103% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma 89–101%, 87–97% and 86–96%; for heparin plasma 85–95%, 88–99% and 81–100%. Spike-and-recovery: serum 86–103% (average 93%), EDTA plasma 92–105% (97%) and heparin plasma 93–102% (98%).

The unopened kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. IGF-II is described by the manufacturer as a growth factor involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, growth regulation, development, metabolism and tissue repair, with dysregulation linked to cancer, diabetes and growth disorders.
