Guinea pig IgE ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of IgE in guinea pig biological samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides a sensitive tool for researchers investigating allergic responses and immune system function. IgE is an antibody that plays a central role in allergic reactions by triggering the release of histamines and other inflammatory mediators, and elevated IgE levels are associated with conditions such as asthma, eczema and food allergies, making it a valuable biomarker for studying immune-related diseases.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format on a pre-coated microplate with colorimetric detection. It reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL across a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 81–105%. Recovery ranges from 85% to 102%, with average recoveries of 96% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma (n = 5). The protocol involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples with a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotinylated detection antibody for 60 minutes, then HRP-streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
